+4 AC when worn. Heavily Restrictive (do not include your dexterity modifier when calculating AC if any item with the Heavily Restrictive attribute is equipped) Gain an additional 40 Psychic damage mitigation when equipped. Gain Lightvision 60ft. A full-coverage headpiece constructed from Lyḧaeref that retains a faint luster despite visible patina along its joints. The helm’s primary structure consists of layered horizontal plates, shaped to resemble the cascading folds of a cloth veil. Each plate is slightly convex, measuring approximately 3.5 inches in height and 4 millimeters in thickness, with the uppermost plate extending further outward to form a protective brow ridge. The plates are joined by riveted hinges, allowing for limited flexibility to absorb impact while maintaining rigid frontal defense. The faceplate is a continuous, unbroken surface, tapering slightly inward at the bridge of the nose and curving outward again at the chin to accommodate airflow and deflection. It is adorned with parallel vertical grooves, evenly spaced and running the full height of the faceplate. These grooves are 0.5 millimeters deep and have been polished to a high sheen, contrasting subtly against the matte finish of the surrounding metal. The eye slits are narrow, measuring 0.4 inches in width and 3 inches in length, lined internally with drāuginelwa reinforcement rings to protect against deformation. The rear of the helm features an extended nape guard, composed of overlapping segments that resemble layered petals, each plate measuring 1.5 inches in height and tapering to a beveled edge. These segments are secured with flush-set drāuginelwa rivets and fastened to an inner leather suspension system, visible only upon inspection of the helm’s underside. The interior is lined with stitched linen padding, quilted in a diamond pattern, and treated with a resin-based sealant to repel moisture and mildew. The padding is attached with small drāuginelwa tacks spaced at 1-inch intervals around the circumference of the frame. A chin strap assembly constructed of dyed leather secures the helm. It is affixed through drāuginelwa loops fastened to the base plate and includes a sinwed buckle featuring an etched Elurian motif. The strap’s edges are double-stitched, showing signs of wear and discoloration consistent with prolonged use. Where others sought glory, Arundeln sought silence, and where others demanded recognition, she offered submission. It was said that Elurias wove the roots of the earth beneath her feet, binding her to the soil and stone so that she might never stray, never falter, and never flee. And though her armor shone as though the dawn touched it, she bore it as a yoke, not a crown—a burden she did not refuse."
