You hurl a pair of serpentine fangs at a target of your choice you can see within range. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 piercing damage and must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 2d6 poison damage and be poisoned until the end of your next turn. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much poison damage and is not poisoned.

At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the spell deals an extra 1d6 poison damage for each slot level above 1st.
