Melchior's Spell Library
Silken Weave
2-level Transmutation
Ritual - does not require spell slot, takes 10 minutes longer
Casting Time: 1 action
Range/Area: 120 feet
Components: V, S, M
Materials: a handful of dehydrated insects
Duration: 1 hour
You rapidly weave rope from a lustrous spider’s silk, which
lasts for the spell’s duration. The total length of rope can
be up to 150 feet, but you can create it in 30-foot lengths
when it first appears. Every 30 feet of rope has an AC equal
to your spell save DC, 25 hit points, and can be burst with a
Strength check against a DC of 5 + your spellcasting ability
modifier.
When the rope first appears, you can choose a point
within range for each rope to appear, in addition to its
general arrangement, such as in a neat bundle, laid out on
the ground, or with each end in the hands of a willing
creature. The rope cannot appear in the space of an
unwilling creature, or in complex shapes, such as tied in
knots.
You can choose to have an end of the rope stick to a solid
surface of your choice within range when it first appears.
Until the spell ends, you can use a bonus action while you
are within 10 feet of a rope to stick or unstick it to a solid
surface. A rope vanishes when it is burst, drops to 0 hit
points, or the spell ends.
