The Song of Delivery
This song was long considered a 'nursery rhyme', a silly song to remind children to be kind to strangers. It wasn't until the Manes libraries were reinstated during the Fellstone Awakenings that the import of this ancient melody came to light. Indeed, rumors persist that this may be one of the most ancient poems in the Iteration Cycle, possibly dating back to waning days of the First. It does indicate that there are secrets deep within the Everdark that may even be important considerations in the current era.
A dragon and troll, above, below,
One has a plan but both must go,
Mile after mile, above, beneath,
One has a smile and one has teeth,
Though the troll might say hello,
Expect no love from the beast below. The dragons breed, their heirs ascend.
The foolish seek the wealth below
And though the precious ones survive,
They will cease when the lights arrive. In lairs above, we're deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep.
This dream must end, the Prisms know,
We all depend on the beast below.
