Magic Beanstalk
1-level Conjuration
Ritual - does not require spell slot, takes 10 minutes longer
Casting Time: 1 action
Range/Area: 60 feet
Components: V, S, M
Materials: a bean
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour
You cause a magic beanstalk to erupt from the ground at a
point of your choice you can see within range. The
beanstalk is a 5-foot radius, 30-foot-tall cylinder, has an
AC of 10, and 10 hit points. The beanstalk crumbles to
pollen when reduced to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.
The beanstalk can be climbed without the need for a
Strength (Athletics) check.
If the beanstalk grows underneath a creature of size
Medium or smaller, that creature must succeed on a
Dexterity saving throw or be lifted to the top of the
beanstalk. A creature can choose to fail this save.
If the beanstalk cannot reach its full height due to a solid
object, such as a ceiling, a creature on the beanstalk takes
2d6 bludgeoning damage and is restrained between the
beanstalk and the solid object. The restrained creature can
use its action to make a Strength or Dexterity ability check
(its choice) against your spell save DC. On a success, the
creature is no longer restrained and must move off the
beanstalk.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot
of 2nd level or higher, the beanstalk grows an extra 10 feet
and deals an extra 1d6 damage to a creature on its top for
each slot level above 1st.
