+2 AC when worn.   Pauldrons consisting of dual-tiered shoulder guards forged from Lyḧaeref, exhibiting a pale, matte finish with faint traces of surface patina concentrated along the edges and hinge points. Each pauldron features an outer plate measuring 11 inches in length and 7 inches in width, contoured to mirror the curvature of the wearer’s shoulder. The uppermost segment extends outward into a flared wing-like projection reminiscent of a white raven, reinforced with sinwed filigree trim along its perimeter. This trim, now tarnished, remains intact and is secured by six evenly spaced rivets, flush-set to reduce snagging. The projection terminates in a sharp, angular ridge, providing structural rigidity and additional deflection capability. Beneath the main plate, secondary lames—thin overlapping segments—measure 3.5 inches each and articulate independently through hinged ginelwa fittings, permitting freedom of movement without sacrificing protection. The pauldrons attach to the cuirass via reinforced leather straps, dyed white and embossed with motifs of light. These straps are secured through ginelwa buckles. The underside of the main plates is lined with quilted linen padding, dyed a muted white and stitched into hexagonal patterns to maximize durability and airflow. The padding is further reinforced with resin-treated leather backing, providing resistance to moisture and wear. Visible along the lower ridge of each pauldron are faint scratches and dents, concentrated around the articulated lames.
