Vona Boar Spear

Weapon

Uncommon

Heavy, Two-Handed, Reach 10ft (if wielded within 5 feet the damage drops to 1d6, and it can't be used to impale), Slow mastery property. All members of the Vona Moiety {including Vona Vuzi and Heathrons} are trained to be proficient with this weapon.

Traditional Vona weapon used primarily in protecting sheep pastures from predatory wild boars.

A boar spear consists of a thick shaft of sturdy wood (like oak) up to 10ft long, tipped with a broad leaf-shaped blade. The blade's collar extends 2-3ft down the shaft, ending in two thick 1ft-long perpendicular quillons. These are to prevent an impaled boar from climbing up the spear's shaft to endanger the wielder.

Special:
Following a successful melee attack the wielder may attempt to impale their opponent as a bonus action. Succeeding on an opposed Strength (Athletics) roll firmly seats the spear's point, imposing Disadvantage on any d20 roll made by the creature and halving their speed (Dash or Dodge actions not allowed) until the spear point can be removed.
On a subsequent turn the wielder may stake the impaled creature to the ground (or a nearby object) by using their melee attack action (no roll required), reducing it's speed to 0.
