Plateau

It has been a couple of days roaming the Savannah as I have learned this land to be called. Even writing has seemed to lose its reprieve it once gave me. Aparrently, the northern region known as Babar and the Savannah have been at odds until someone by the name of Castillo became co-reagent of Babar. From what little I have heard from the travelers I pass, this created peace between the “cold-bloods” and those of the Savannah.
 
Additionally, I have finally come to the base of hte plateau I used to guide my journey up until now. Rather than a rock formation, it turns out to have been the remains of The Great Tree! The city of Lumber sits among the roots. A foul smell permeates the air that is nauseating enough to nearly make me pass out. Tomorrow, I intend to investigate the roots to see what stories they may hold.
